Transforming Through T-Group— an advanced train-the-trainer program.

TTTG is an intense, challenging, advanced level Train-the-Trainer program required of any NTL member who wants to qualify to staff NTL’s signature HI Labs®. While only NTL members can staff our Human Interaction® Labs, we welcome non-NTL members who wish to improve their facilitation skills for a wide-range of applications.


Key Competencies Developed:

  • → Facilitating T-Group
  • → Managing diversity and inclusion dynamics
  • → Designing, presenting, and facilitating experiential learning modules
  • → Preventing, recognizing, and responding to distress reactions within the group

Program Requirements:
To enroll in this program, participants must have successfully completed an NTL Human Interaction Laboratory.


What You’ll Gain:

By completing the Transforming Through T-Group (TTTG) program, you’ll be able to:

  • → Identify stages of group development and understand the dynamics at each stage
  • → Effectively intervene at individual, interpersonal, and group levels to support learning
  • → Design and facilitate impactful experiential learning modules
  • → Understand power dynamics across various dimensions of difference
  • → Create and maintain an inclusive learning environment
  • → Prevent and respond to distress reactions within the group

Program Elements:

The program offers both theory and practical applications, including:

  • → T-Group methodology
  • → Facilitating group development
  • → Creating a supportive learning environment
  • → Designing and delivering experiential learning
  • → Enhancing diversity awareness and inclusion
  • → Navigating multi-level system and power dynamics
  • → Managing participant distress reactions
  • → Developing facilitator self-awareness

Blended Learning Approach:

TTTG combines synchronous and asynchronous online learning methods, featuring live webinars, individual and small group assignments, and a nine (9) day in-person learning experience with T-Group facilitation practice. Full attendance is required. NTL members will also receive coaching/mentoring support during their HI Lab staffing experience.

→ In-Person Program:

  • November 7-15
    Nine (9) days/eight (8) nights, at the Airlie Conference Center, in Warrenton, VA. (Washington, D.C. area). The Airlie is also the overnight hotel for participants. Reservations will be made in advance for you.
  • Please note, the site for the in-person program is subject to change, but will most likely be held in the same region (Washington, D.C.) Reservations will be made for you at the venue prior to your arrival.

Tuition is:

  • → $6000 (Non-NTL members)
*Participants are responsible for accommodations and meals.
*All fees must be paid in full prior to commencement of the program.
*Cancellations made within 30 days of the event date are non-refundable. This policy is in place due to the proximity of the event, which limits our ability to rebook the space and cover related costs.
